Relay recieved the 2004 Polly Bond Award for Excellence in the agency
website catagory for the Episcopal
Media Center web site.
The Polly Bond Awards were established in the mid-1970s by Episcopal Communicators
to acknowledge excellence and achievement in communication. They are awarded
annually at the Episcopal Communicators meeting at the National Press Club for
a variety of categories.
Founded in 1945 and originally called The Episcopal Radio and TV Foundation,
The Episcopal Media Center has been instrumental in producing Emmy-winning TV
programming such as The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Shadowlands. And
for more than 50 years, they have produced the Peabody Award-winning "The
Protestant Hour," now known as "Day 1."
